Hello, and welcome to Degree Hackers! My name is Kimberly and I am a 23-year-old college graduate, currently living in the great state of Montana!

What sets me apart from the crowd is that I’ve never sat in a single class in a school or college, ever. I was homeschooled, then I “hacked” my way through college degree with no conventional classes.

How did I get here?

I started off with a simple but substantial goal: graduate college debt-free.

From there it grew. Why not graduate debt-free, at an accelerated pace, and try to see some of the world all at the same time? Dream big, right?

My plan was unprecedented. There was nobody who had walked in these shoes, and there was no academic advisor who knew how to coach a student like me. I spent hundreds of hours researching, planning, and re-planning my degree path.

Friends, I succeeded. I graduated June 2019 with my Bachelor’s degree in English, the entire thing taking me a little under 3 years of study and costing about $8,000. Total.

What now?

During my degree process, I decided there was no way I would rather use my success than to pass on what I learned to help others. I spent the hundreds of hours researching, learning how plan a winning alternative degree plan, and now I can do it for you!
